About Kids
Children grieve, too. In fact, children may grieve very differently than adults. As a parent or caregiver, you are trying to deal with your own grief following the death of your loved one, and yet you are expected to help support your child(ren) as they, too, grieve and mourn this loss. There are no easy answers, but we can help. We can provide you with information so that you better understand what your children are experiencing. We can highlight the differences in children at different age and developmental levels. We can tell you about normal grief reactions and behaviors. We can suggest some things that you can do to help them understand what it means to die and how their lives will be different now. We can offer some ideas of activities and discussions you can have as a family to help heal together.
As we are building our website, we will be adding information to help you support your grieving children. Please be patient as we upload information. If there are things you would like to see on the website that are not currently here, please let us know. You can call 502-2773 with any questions, ideas or suggestions.
Welcome to Ted E. Bear Hollow, where families find comfort in a safe place after the death of someone they care about.
