Rebecca Turner, MA

Executive Director

Selected by the Ted E. Bear Hollow Board of Directors in April 2013, our newest team member is Executive Director, Rebecca Turner. Rebecca brings a wealth of experience in organizational leadership, philanthropy, public and non-profit program development, and community engagement. As with many Ted E. Bear Hollow staff and volunteers, personal experience and a passion for TEBH’s mission compelled her to dedicate her time and talents to our work. Rebecca received her bachelor’s degree from Grinnell College and a master’s degree from St. Ambrose University. Prior to joining Ted E. Bear Hollow, Rebecca was instrumental in growing community economic development in Nebraska City, NE and West Branch, IA.  Her work at the Iowa Women’s Foundation supported communities statewide.

Karen Galvin

Office Manager

Karen Galvin has been involved with Ted E. Bear Hollow since 2006.  She has a background as a licensed investment manager, human resource consultant, and over 15 years of project and people management.  Karen first came to Ted E. Bear Hollow as a family member dealing with the tragic death of her son, and quickly realized that this was the place where she wanted to give back.  She has been volunteering as a support group facilitator, and jumped at the opportunity to become a permanent member of the staff when a position became available.  She says this is “the job of her heart,” and she is thrilled to be a part of this caring and growing organization.

Andrew S. Dungan, MA

Development Coordinator

Andrew has been involved in professional development of several types since finishing graduate school in 2008. However, in late 2009 Andrew focused his gaze on non-profit development and found it to be both enjoyable and exciting. Now with Ted E. Bear Hollow, Andrew plans events, acts as a second fundraiser, supports the fund development work of Executive Director Rebecca Turner, develops and expands Ted E. Bear Hollow's communications and oversees and implements all social media. With Andrew's help, Ted E. Bear Hollow has increased its presence on the web and on social medias. In addition, Andrew is currently working on his doctorate in Leadership at Creigthon University.

Qiana Mosby-Brown

Outreach Coordinator

Qiana joined the Ted E Bear Hollow team in July 2011. She started her career as an elementary teacher, moving on to teach high school English and British and American Literature at the junior college level. Those years of classroom teaching coupled with her sales background made her decision to come on board as Ted E. Bear Hollow’s Outreach Coordinator a natural fit. Although Qiana is not an Omaha native, she has a passion for her work in the north and south Omaha Communities. Her work with children of all age groups and extensive travel as a military spouse of 14 years has shown her that the problems plaguing youth are not unique to any one city or nation.

Qiana works hard to share the Ted E Bear Hollow mission with the north and south Omaha communities through the “Growing through Loss” program. Qiana is the mother of two young girls and in her spare time enjoys reading, writing and cooking.
